This Pile cardigan by The Real McCoy's is a true reproduction of a vintage acrylic pile jacket.

The reason why many outdoor brands produced pile jackets using acrylic was for its packable, light weight and quick drying qualities. The lack of ribbed cuffs and waistband aided in reducing the drying time and the velcro tabs and simple breast pocket also helped in keeping the overall weight down. The Pile Cardigan was originally designed to be worn for outdoor activities such as paddling and kayaking, but because the Acrylic Pile Cardigan ticked all the boxes, it was used for so much more.

Comes both in Beige and Brick, both colors are a melange rather than a single colour which adds some depth to the color and makes for a stunning Pile.
